Gantung The Movie is a continuation of Gantung The Series, aired in Indonesia via Tribe and in Malaysia on Astro First but due to its massive fanfare, it received millions of views via shares through Facebook and Telegram.

Gantung The Series was developed from Nadia Khan’s bestselling Fixi novel, Gantung and starred four boys which are now known as the modern Musketeers – Gibbs (Randy Pangalila), KJ (Brandon Salim), Troll (Hafreez Adam) and Ray (Ikmal Amry).

Centred around high school boys and portraying very realistic and relatable youth issues, Gantung captured the hearts of both Malaysian and Indonesian youth, as evidenced by more than 1 million views of the series and a turnout of 3,000 people at the meet & greet event in May 2018.

A year and a half after the event, the fans are still thirsty for more – and Gantung The Movie is going to be made mainly by the efforts of crowdfunding. The movie will begin its shooting process in June 2021, to which all four stars have already agreed to.

Gantung The Movie will premiere at a chosen cinema hall in the Klang Valley but will be aired on an internet platform and targeted to have more than 1 million views via Neddo Works channel.
